My client, a well known name within the Rail Sector is looking to recruit a State Safety Manager within their Rail division to cover their NSW operations.

The successful candidate will be overseeing all Safety operations within the division, with typical project values in the region of $50 - $500million.  The projects will be based in and around the Sydney and Newcastle area so candidates should be willing to travel in these areas.

With Safety Advisors on site, you will be expected to coordinate Safety across the division and have a strategic input into the strategy for the division as well as have a site presence and be hands on.

You will join at an exciting time, where this contractor is making its mark in the NSW region and is looking to double their turnover in this state in the next few years, giving the potential candidate the opportunity to grow with the business as it expands.

It is essential that candidates have:

 - Experience with a mid or top tier contractor as a Safety Manager
 - Experience working on Civil Rail projects.
 - All the necessary qualifications to allow you to work as a Safety Manager
 - Experience overseeing several projects at any one time. 

Due to the urgency of this requirement, candidates should be based in Australia at the moment, but this client is only looking for someone in a permanent capacity and will not consider someone on contract.
