With continued project demand, specifically within the QLD market, we are on the lookout for a highly experienced Principal or Lead Mechanical Engineer with a solid background in the design, implantation and engineering leadership aspects of mineral & resource based projects.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager the Principal Mechanical Engineers purpose is to oversee and manage the technical capabilities of the Mechanical Engineering and Design teams whilst assisting and developing other technical based staff.

To be considered you will require:

• A Mechanical Engineering or related degree;
• 10+ years experience preferably in the mechanical engineering aspects of the mineral or resource based industry;
• 15+ years engineering experience in a consulting environment;
• Experience leading and mentoring a team of engineers;
• Mechanical design / Piping experience in the mining and minerals processing industry;
• Knowledge of extractive metallurgy process/chemical engineering unit operations;
• Experience in other disciplines including plant construction, commissioning and operation;
• CPEng / RPEQ or Eligible and NPER-3 Registration;
