You will be managing a portfolio of mainly commercial marine claims, including Cargo / Hull or top range pleasure craft. You will establish and maintain relationships with external parties such as brokers, direct clients and external service providers (e.g. surveyors, lawyers) as well as internal team members to achieve agreed service levels.
Duties include:
Managing and resolving medium, complex and international marine claims
Ensure adequacy and accuracy of all claims reserves
Manage key accounts from a claims perspective, and visit high profile brokers and clients as required
Engage & liaise with external service providers to resolve claims
Identify and contribute to improvements in efficiency and effectiveness throughout the Claims division
Identify and refer claims with potential fraud and recovery
You will have:
Through experience in handling commercial claims, preferably in marine
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at a senior level
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Sound understanding of workflows and the claims process as whole
