With 1300 internal employees and around 25,000 on-hired staff on assignment each week, Chandler Macleod is set on a trajectory of growth.Reporting directly to the CEO and key members of the Executive Leadership Team, we are seeking a highly commercial senior legal practitioner to join the organisation as the Chief Legal Officer.In this role you will provide valued advice that is both pragmatic and perceptive across a broad spectrum of legal and legislative matters.
You will have responsibility for directing all legal activities across the business and seek to balance commerciality with solid legal governance. You will lead and be supported by a small team of qualified lawyers.The role can be based in either Sydney or MelbourneTo secure this role you will:
- Possess a solid corporate law background, with significant exposure across merger and acquisition, contract, and employment law;
- Have prior extensive experience working in-house – ideally with a large and diverse services organisation;
- Be a superior leader with well-honed communication, partnering and influencing skills with a collaborative approach to problem-solving;
- Demonstrate high level people management capability and possess experience leading and managing a team of legal professionals;
- Relevant tertiary qualifications are essential.
