The role:
Due to this company's goals for growth, this global leader is seeking a driven, relationship focused State Manager who will take ownership of the sales team and their performance. With a technical background in instrumentation, this hands on role will require you to work alongside the sales team with Business Development Manager responsibilities, in addition to being responsible for the productivity of the state office. Your duties will include: - The daily coordination of the Sales and Service teams activities
- Forming a strategic plan to channel the teams effort to break into new industries
- Ensuring sales team meets performance goals and targets
- Leading by example in meeting and bringing on new customers, and nurturing current relationships
- Continuing to build the Sales team through training, motivating and recruiting new staff
- Ensuring reporting and administration tasks are completed

To be successful in this role you will need: - A technical Instrumentation background through a trade or engineering degree
- Proven experience as a successful external sales representative/BDM in the Oil and Gas, Mining, Water, Chemical or Food and Beverage industries
- Proven experience leading a sales team and successfully achieving team sales targets
- A strong decisive character, with a collaborative and diplomatic approach to running a sales team
- Ability to ensure accuracy of reporting and paperwork
