Leading mining operator with mining operations across Australia. This open cut coal operation produces a high quality coking coal using a dragline truck and shovel method and producing at 7.5Mtpa. The Manager of Health, Safety, Environment & Community (HSEC) is responsible for the leadership and coordination of the HSEC team in relation to the total mining operation. You will ensure the operation meets its business, statutory and social obligations. You will actively contribute to management initiatives, develop the HSEC plan including commercial expenditure forecast, implement HSEC Systems, continue to deliver a year on year reduction in All Injury Frequency Rate (AIFR) and introduce new community engagement initiatives and cultural heritage programs. Responsibilities also include: - Training and guiding the HSEC team
- Accountability for the site Emergency Response Team
- Facilitate group discussions
- Implement and maintain the HSEC management system
- Continually improve the business performance in the areas of HSEC
To be considered for this role you must; - Qualifications in HSE or similar
- Minimum 10 years industry experience, mining preferred
- Experience in a similar role preferred
- Auditing experience
- Highly developed communication skills
