We are currently recruiting for a large infrastructure project based in Queensland. Our globally recognised client is seeking a Safety Advisor for a FIFO position. The anticipated contract duration will initially be 3 months with a view to extend to 6 months. The role will see you working at site level alongside some of the industrys most experienced safety professionals, to identify, report and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with safety requirements and standards of work. You will provide on the job coaching and advice in relation to hazard identification, risk assessment and incident investigation while ensuring corporate safety standards are met. The successful applicants will be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience mentoring at senior management level, and you will present with a minimum of a Certificate IV in OH&S. It is preferred that you have gained experience in a high risk environment such as mining, construction or oil and gas. With exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, you have the ability to overcome resistance to change and deliver improved safety performance. Given the nature of the role, and the extended periods away from home, it will be looked upon favourably if you have previous experience in a FIFO role. All employees will be fully inducted and trained in personal safety and security measures and are expected to comply with those measures at all times.
