Australian specialist hydrogeological and environmental consultancy firm is seeking a Hydrogeologist. Major projects commencing shortly with existing established clients.
If you wish to gain consulting experience in groundwater & contaminated sites this position will be ideal. Its an opportunity to work in a specialised independent consultancy. The position is based out of the Perth head office and you will be exposed to all facets of the business including contaminated Site Audits
The successful applicant will ideally possess:
· Hydrogeology or Geology tertiary qualifications
· C+ experience (1 to 2 years)
· Exposure to drilling rig supervision and geological logging
· Experience with groundwater sampling, test pumping and hydrochemical interpretation
· Familiarity with software such as (examples) Aquachem, AquiferTest, QuickLog, Didger, CAD, MapInfo GIS, Surfer, Visual MODFLOW
The Position will ideally suit a Junior to Mid Level Hydrogeologist with the following:
· Experience in Western Australia (Pilbara, Goldfields and Mine sites)
· Prepared to work on site & in the office
· Contaminated Sites experience (investigation & remediation)
· Familiarity with Western Australian legislation
· Have had some exposure to groundwater modelling
· Ability to interpret data and prepare technical reports
