Our client is a leading Iron Ore Producer based in Far North WA, with an extensive resource base and excellent Metallurgical qualities, with proven simple mining method and a huge expansion potential due to growth they are now recruiting for 2 experienced Mine Geologist.
The role reports to the Senior Geologist and is required to provide technical and operational support to the Iron Ore Project in compliance with all relevant legislation and company policy. The Mine Geologist provides support for the Senior Mine Geologist, assuming department leadership in his/her absence.
This role includes:

Managing Quality Control functions, including but not limited to; ore blocking grade boundaries, ore mining, crushing, stockpiling and ship loading.

Managing Grade Control programs, including but not limited to; planning drill hole programs, drill pad preparation, chip logging, sample collection and submission.

Managing Geological data entry and reporting.

Training and supervision of Geology Technicians.

Managing required Exploration Lease work as requested by the Senior Geologist.
SKILLS REQUIRED

Strong focus on safety.

Degree in Mine Geology or equivalent.

Experience in hard rock mining.

Skills set must include organizational skills, problem solving and forward planning.

Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Computer literacy - fluency in spreadsheets and word processing software; familiarity with Surpac mining software and databases is advantageous.
