Our client is located in the North West of Western Australia. Currently producing and exporting 2.5 million tonnes annually to the growing Asian chemical and food industries. They require the services of a Maintenance Superintendent for a residential based position that provides relocation and Company housing (rent free) plus many other benefits.
 
The Role
 
As the Maintenance Superintendant You will be reporting directly to the Maintenance and Engineering Manager and will be responsible for the operational leadership and supervision of the maintenance team. Developing, coordinating and maintaining the maintenance team and ensuring that all mobile equipment tasks are carried out in a safe and cost effective manner.
 
Responsibilities
 
  • Grow and Manager Employee relationships
  • Liaise with suppliers to organise plant and equipment.
  • Monitor progress against work schedule to identify issues
  • Plan and schedule work and labour requirements to meet time commitments
  • Preparation and management of budgets and cost control issues
  • Continues improvement of maintenance systems and procedures
  • Committed to safety and designee and improvement of safety systems.
 
Your previous experience and skills should include
 
  • 3-5 year experience in a similar role, significant supervisory experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance planning processes and long-term maintenance
  • Knowledge of heavy industrial/mining maintenance process, practices and statutory requirements
  • Identify and purchase maintenance spares
  • Analyse data within computerised maintenance systems (pronto would be desirable)
  • Development of strategic maintenance plans, equipment development and specification programs
  • Implement condition-monitoring programs
  • Produce annual operating and capital budgets
  • Relevant engineering or trade qualifications
  • Retain a national police clearance and Maritime Security Identification card
