Our Top Tier Queensland client is urgently seeking an experienced Senior Mine Planning Engineer who would be responsible for driving forward and completing mining engineering tasks at a Corporate level in their Brisbane Office within both feasability studies and the production environment to deliver optimim solutions for the organisation. This role is a high level technical role hence we are seeking a suitable candidate with a very strong background in feasibility studies, mining operations and mine design and scheduling. Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to: - Developing and working to scopes of work (stakeholder maps, budgets, timelines for actions to complete project and other appropriate tools specific to studies)
- Hands on mine design (optimisation, infrastructure, mobile equipment selection), mine production scheduling and other technical work
- Collaborating with other senior level study discipline team members where you will be involved in identifying areas for informal technical or professional coaching and mentoring.
- Implement continuous improvements to the study process.
- Identifying and addressing the actions required to make the study achievable such as approvals, addressing gaps in resource knowledge and other key assumptions.
While this role is not directly responsible for managing a team, it is expected that the successful candidate will actively seek opportunities to provide technical and professional mentoring / coaching to other team members to enhance the overall effectiveness and knowledge base of the group.As the ideal candidate you will have in excess of 4 years of planning experience, with a recognized organisation. You will be adept in most if not all areas detailed above and will be looking to take on the role with the aim of progressing your carrer further within the organisation. In return for your efforts and commitment you will recieve a highly competive remuneration packe including excellent base salary, 15% super annuation (after initial qualification period), the opportunity to join the employee share option scheme and a bonus of approximatley 115 based on personal and company KPI's. For the successful applicant the opportunity would exist to progress to the position of Planning Manager at the Corporate level.
