Our client is an established exploration and resource development company with several operations in Western Australia. They are currently looking to expand their metallurgical team with a new site based role at their main operation. As the Senior Metallurgist you will be reporting to the Plant Superintendent with a close relationship with the Perth based metallurgists. You will be responsible for, but not limited to: * monitoring the practical and technical aspects of the plant whilst continuously looking for ways to improve the performance. * Manage the on site lab * Assist with sample collection for testing at external facilities * Co-ordinating the effective blending and dispatch of export products To be successful in this role you will have: * Between 5 and 10 years experience * Formal qualifications in metallurgy or mineral processing * Experience in a similar senior role is desirable but not essential * Processing experience in a bulk commodity with heavy media separation is desirable but not essential * A can do attitude In return, you will be an integral member of the company vital to its future success, receive a competitive remuneration package, and work with a desirable FIFO roster of 8/6 allowing for a healthy work/life balance.
