We are currently seeking an experienced and hard working mechanic to join a friendly and close knit team in the Braeside area.

Reporting to the State Service Manager, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance and service of turf equipment, recycling equipment and tractors. You will be repairing major systems such as: diesel and gasoline engines, hydrostatic transmissions and hydraulic systems.

As well as this repair and maintenance of a variety of vehicles, you will be expected to work to time frames and respond to emergency repairs where necessary.

The successful applicant will have:

• Prior experience in the repair and maintenance of turf, recycling or construction equipment (tractors, lawn mowers, line trimmers etc)
• The ability to interpret engineering drawings
• the ability to determinemechanical defects
• The ability to dissemble, rebuild, adjust and reassemble various components
• Excellent communication skills
• A Fantastic phone manner
